Mission Partners

At Ellerslie we want to take seriously Jesus’ mandate to his followers to join him in helping people from every corner and culture of the world discover and follow the God who is already pursuing them.

The goal of the Global Mission Team is to help us at Ellerslie become as effective as possible in crossing cultural and demographic boundaries to help people discover life in Jesus.

Terry and Jane Baskin | Grindrod, BC | VILLAGE Missions

In 1986, with hearts burdened for broken and hurting people, Terry and Jane left Edmonton to begin an evangelism/church planting ministry among the Innu people in eastern Quebec. After 20 years that work had matured to the place where it could continue on. This was God's timing for a new direction.

God led them to "Village Missions of Canada". "VM" provides pastoral leadership, in small communities, where otherwise, there would be no church. Their motto is "Preach the Word and Love The People". The Baskins are ministering to believers and sharing the Gospel with the entire community of Grindrod, BC.

I love the vision to see a world where translated Scriptures lead to transformed lives among people of all languages, because the Word of God is so vital for transformation in my own life.
